What is Usercrowd and how does it work?
Usercrowd is another usability testing site (like Usertesting), but it focuses on very short, design-relevant surveys. Unlike Usertesting, the surveys are very short and do not require any technical knowledge from your end.
In fact, the people creating the surveys actually want common users to give them feedback. This helps them craft their applications in a more user-friendly way.
The tests at Usercrowd do not require you to speak out your thoughts (unlike Usertesting). Instead, you need to type out your responses and feedback in a survey.
This makes Usercrowd an introvert-friendly earning site. This is also probably why it pays less. But whatever be the reason, I definitely think there is a market for such short design feedbacks.
How do I signup for Usercrowd, and how do I start working?
Signing up for Usercrowd is simple.
- Go to their Signup page.
- Enter your required details. Confirm your email address.
- Make sure to fill out your profile once you log in.
Once you are all set up, you don’t need to do anything. You will be emailed whenever a new test comes up. Make sure to check it as soon as possible, as the slots are limited.
Simply log in to their dashboard and take the test. You will be credited the test amount instantly after its completion.
How much can I earn and How will Usercrowd pay me?
I will be honest with you, the earning potential here is very weak. Tests are very short (that’s why they call them surveys). Tests pay 0.5$ – 2$ usually and are very infrequent.
It took me around 5-6 months to earn their cashout limit, which is 10$ via Paypal. Your payment will be processed instantly once you reach that threshold. It is not very tough, but you need to be lucky in some manner.
Update: UserCrowd has been having consistent tests available every month. Though not a lot of tests, but the fact that they are active makes it a site worth signing up for.
If you are online whenever their test opportunity comes up, then you can reach the payment threshold much faster.

How to Get More Tests in Usercrowd (Earning Tips)
There are some ways you can get an edge over other Usercrowd testers. First of all, make sure to fill your profile completely.
- Enable both email and push notifications. Tests are time-sensitive and you will miss out on them if you do not respond immediately.
- Make sure your smartphone has enabled push notifications for email. This way you will be notified of tests even if you are not actively using your PC.
- Participate in the test as soon as your receive their email. Waiting for even a short amount of time might end up with the slots getting filled.
It can take a while for you to cash out from Usercrowd, as there are not much tests that come up every month. It will take months for you to cash out.
That is it. It’s a simple site. It’s got simple design surveys. Sign up for it, get lucky sometimes. But don’t expect much more than some beer money.
I am writing to warn others about a fraudulent website called Usercrowd.com. My experience with this platform has been frustrating.
I urge others to be cautious of Usercrowd.com. This is a clear scam designed to exploit people. Please do not fall victim to their deceptive tactics.
They mention you can get a payout after reaching $10. The tasks were tedious and low-paying, and the payout system was extremely unreliable. Their pay for studies is too little eg. $0.20 per study. You have to wait for One year to reach a minimum $10 payout.
After you reached $10 and requested for payout they simply rejected your payout telling you a silly reason your user rating is low.
I strongly advise anyone considering Usercrowd to think twice. This is a clear-cut scam designed to exploit unsuspecting individuals and their time. There are countless legitimate online opportunities available without the risks and frustrations associated with this platform.
Hi PKR,
I have received my payment from Usercrowd, so it is definitely not a scam. Even I had to wait 8-12 months to reach the payout limit, but they do pay. So I can vouch for them.
