Recently received the payments for the study I did on Google User Research (new testing platform by Google). They are paying in the form of Gift Cards, probably to avoid the taxation laws (which vary from country to country).
Anyways, the payment is pretty handsome even if it comes as a Gift Card. See the payment proof below:
